A stylish and quirky multi-roomed café bar, with a traditional wooden interior, close to the Corn Exchange. There's an emphasis on craft beers, plus two hand-pumps with ever changing Real Ales and a selection of about 130 imported bottled beers. No house food but the bar hosts "street food Fridays" in conjunction with various other local traders - see the website for details. There are sizeable outside heated seating areas and 2 function rooms - one often used for cutting edge product launches the other more private upstairs. Wide variety of gins plus artisan coffee available. Themed evenings such as vinyl and DJ nights - plus occasional electro/swing sessions.

NB The Arcade Street Tavern is closed on Tuesdays during January and February 2026 and on other days the closing times may be earlier or later depending on the number of customers.
